Serengeti Migration
Even though it was late by few weeks, much anticipated migration into Central Serengeti happened! A bird's eye view of thousand and thousands of Wildebeest and Zebras!
A Misty Morning
It rained and rained and rained in Serengeti! All these years, I had not seen such a mist but that day, it was something different! The morning sun was struggling to uncover himself from the heavy clouds, the mist was strong. To me, it was pure heaven! What a scene! Dramatic!
That look!
Surrounded by the evergreen grass, under a diffused light, she was curiously and continuously watching something! A very attentive Lioness, I particularly liked this frame because of her intense looks!
Early morning Siesta ?
Without a care in the world, she climbed at ease, took her position that made her feel good and Zzzzzzzzzzz!
Scanning the plains
Mother and her two sub-adult cubs rested on a Kopje! Mother wanting to hunt, looks around under dark cloud cover, checking on any easy prey! One of My favourite images, with the cloud cover, tree and the Kopje!
And he turned around!
What a day it was! Serval! Repeat of last year! An empty road, sun beating down and this cute but very elusive cat, jumps out of the bush, walks along and when I was ready, looked back!
Let the world go to hell!
...when they sleep, they just sleep! But I wanted to get a different perspective, had an idea and it worked just perfect! An upside view :)
Up, Close and Personal
How close can I get? Well not so close when the Nabi King walks right next to me to relax! Look at the intensity in his eyes!
A Short Jump!
This young lioness jumps a road-side stream with ease! Later, her suitor followed suit!
The Last Rays of the Sun
When the day is almost coming to an end, I always end up in looking for subjects to shoot with the dying rays of the sun. Well, Giraffes always come to my rescue!
Guess ..need a visit to Dentist?
This Stallion shows off some of the dental problems he has. Luckily, I am not his Dentist :)
The Badass!
He is short fused. Hot tempered. I have been following him since the last two years. The Real BadAss of More Kopje. The King.
Queen of the Kopjes
Beauty Personified. She walked with grace, dignity and glamour! And just when I wanted her to turn around, she did! isn't she beautiful?
A Charging Tusker and Threatening Skies
Rushing back to my camp, the black clouds screamed to wash me away. On my way, this tusker charged at me but managed to get the moment with the black skies and the dying light of the plains
Suicide or Just an habit!
One of the most elusive antelope, Klipspringer - stands on the edge of a Kopje under a rain-threatening cloud. A very rare event to have spotted this miraculous antelope
A Very Rare Spectacle!!
This is a litmus test to check if you are lucky! I couldn't believe my eyes when this Caracal walked right into me! I was truly blessed to watch this most elusive and secretive cat! Struck a pot of gold!
